New buyer safety check

Buying a new house can be exciting but it is important to remember that a check of the house electrics is an important step that any buyer should take into account. There is nothing worse than being hit with an unexpected bill for thousands of pounds of remedial works that could have been detected on a visual check by us for only £70.00.

Joelec's 'New buyer safety check' includes a full walkaround of the house you are intending to purchase. We check that the existing installation is safe and the relevent safety devices and equipment are installed prior to you purchasing the house. With an EICR costing around £200 for the average UK house, Joelec have innovated a visual check of your potential new house for less than half the price!

At the end of the check you will receive a report based on our findings. We may also indicate an estimated cost to remedy any existing issues with the property, placing you as a buyer in a strong position to negotiate a fair price for the property.

It is important to remember to consult with the current occupiers of the property prior to arranging a new buyer safety check as if the current occupier refuses us entry to the property to conduct our checks, you will still be liable for the cost of the check.
